Design Prompt Generator (2020)

I wrote this simple program as a daily design and idea generation exercise.

Opening the website generates three variables.

1. a furniture item

2. a form from Siteless, a 2008 architecture publication from MIT Press.

3. one of Brian Eno’s oblique strategies

A timer begins to countdown from 15:00.

A text input box on the lower right side of the browser window me to type a 15 minute response.

When time is up, a print dialog box automatically pops up, and I save the file to PDF.

I use the resulting PDF as reference for later design work in Rhino.

*NOTE: If you try it out, do not resize your browser window while the program is running. You will have to refresh your window, which will generate a new prompt.
